@SOUTHERNSTAR2035 i would have wondered why, but it is part of a good history, The feds require a certain amount of dtata to be present on a medical record to establish a level of care, thus a level of pavement.
Because they need to check if you're irregular or not. The menstrual cycle (and how regular it is) says a lot about the general health of a woman.
They probably also asked to see how developed you are, given your age... ;)

ok i guess that makes sense
@PinkPunk: I just wanted to say... yes, it's a bit weird to be asked that kind of question by an eye doctor. But if the whole place was professional, they probably had their reasons.
SOUTHERNSTAR2035 · F
@PinkPunk: that is odd.

It does sound very strange. Maybe because our pituitary gland, which is behind your eyes, controls your endocrine system(hormonal stuff). If there is a small cyst/mass it can stop your menstrual or maybe make it worse. The very same cyst/mass can put pressure on the optic nerve and affect your vision.
I'm sure there can be other reasons. I'm just assuming.

Wow! You're very smart! :)

Thanks :) I've actually read up on the pituitary a long time ago. But I was guessing it could be a reason they ask.
SOUTHERNSTAR2035 · F
you could be correct.the newer drs. may be asking now.

I've never been asked that by an eye doctor and I've visited specialists.

hi patti.me too,it`s odd.i haven`t been asked that.
I've never been asked that either... At least not that I remember. Back when I was your age I may have been asked I guess.
Now the first question is "can you see the big E on the wall" to which I reply with "what wall?"

I'm glad I am not a lady. Women seem to have to bear their souls to medical professionals. I just get asked "what's your problem?" That is it.
SOUTHERNSTAR2035 · F
you are lucky.at 66 i am asked at clinics.i resent that.and what age did it stop.and get on the scale.and BMI.
