Sociopaths have a profound lack of empathy for the feelings of others. They lack the internal feedback system by which normal people monitor themselves. (Most people call this “conscience,” which is probably as useful a term as any.) Sociopaths do not have this and don’t feel bad about abusing other people.

Cnservatives are more likely to rate marginalized groups like the obese and homeless as “disgusting” and show greater disgust toward photos of vomit, blood and feces than liberal participants. Conservatism is rooted in beliefs that the world is dangerous and threatening. Conservatives see the world as a more threatening place because their brains predispose them to being fearful.

In essence, it appears that conservatives share the same symptoms as those diagnosed as Paranoid Socipaths

@TrashCat For the most part that maybe but for me I am a conservative woman but my lifes experiences have made me feel quite deeply at times for others! Being a conservative to me doesnt mean that I am devoid of any emotions!

You cant paint that broad of brush when you talk about conservatives! I work with the homeless and I dont find blood and guts disgusting not all that is why I watch Dr Pimple popper all the time! Yes I am conservative and I voted for Trump but this right here is what makes my skin crawl about liberals they are so quick to be judgmental and rude when ever it suits them! I am far from what you think I am as a conservative woman! I work in animal rescue and I do have immense feelings for other people!

I'm sorry..I wish I could give you the benefit of a doubt but I find it extremely difficult to believe that you are a trump consevative who works with homeless when conservatism is responsible for a majority of homelessness; Whether it be from financial ruin from employment loss, massive healthcare costs, or the gay youth thrown out into the street by their "Loving Christian" parents because they are gay.

It's not just the sociopaths that lack empathy. I can't decide what's more foolish, demonizing a mentally ill person while making an argument about empathy or using it to demonize the opposing political party as a whole.

Good joke...except that reacting to a photo of vomit, blood or feces is the very opposite of a sociopath's reaction. As an example, two men shot a few hibernating bears recently and the graphic images were displayed on the news. I felt nothing and said nothing unlike everyone else in the room watching (I actually did say something "Jesus" and reacted but it was instinctive after my own acquaintences reacted).

However, up until recently I did support the Conservatives so you may be on to something here, you just clearly lack a very good grasp on the concept of a sociopath.
I will be voting NDP this year due to Jagmeet Singh, towards whom I have a great deal of respect.

@Jackaloftheazuresand I absolutely agree. Sociopaths can succeed. Often at the expense of those around them. Now it may be a good way to be a Rock Star. But I contend its a poor way to run a country.
