Why do people say stuff like "everyone i know who gets the flu shot got the flu" ?

Can someone explain to me the notion that it is not only possible but [i]probable[/i] that the flu shot will make you sick?

Because i can find nothing online that even agrees that you can even get the flu in this way.

I think this probably comes from memes. I see shit like this all the time on social media.

That said, I personally have a hard time with some of these things. Last time I got a flu shot I got really sick.

I'm not going to say I got the "flu". I get sick from allergy shots at times. But I get sick.

I could be floppy headed and say "look I got the flu!".
