not slicing or cutting, but when I'm angry with myself I punch myself in the face or smash my head into a wall, even bashed my head in with objects, I used a steak hammer on my forehead when i was 18 now i have a dint that i can feel in my skull to this day.

@SW-User aww i'm sorry
Fernie · F
In several ways...it isn't just about cutting, etc. Smoking, excessive drinking, eating. Done it all.I don't know anyone who hasn't self harmed in some way. We have the power to stop doing it
childcalledit · 31-35, T
@Fernie very wise
nem16 · 36-40, M
If drinking to get away from that sinking feeling of depression is considered self harm then I did it for about 6 years.
Cally · 22-25, F
Yea, I know I shouldn't but it's become something of an addiction
childcalledit · 31-35, T
@Cally my younger sister is 26 and she smokes as well as cuts and she says it would be easier to stop smoking.
Cally · 22-25, F
@childcalledit I can well believe that. A friend of mine was convinced she would grow out of it and yet we are both still doing it.
