Is chiropractic quackery?

I know that some chiropractors, particularly in the UK claim to be able to cure all manner of shit including colic. And they can't.
But it seems to me that treating pain of the neck and back by manipulating the neck and back makes sense.

So does it work? Not really interested in anecdotal stories about it working for you so much as actual knowledge about the statistical efficacy of chiropractic

I've been to a chiro and I've found that the pain goes away but only for a little while. I now go to a qualified physiotherapist if I'm ever in pain and they fix it properly. I don't believe somebody without medical qualifications should be messing around with your back and/or neck.

Should see your Doctor first. He can refer you from there. You might just need some exercises from the physio to help with those areas.

I had adjustments done when I was pregnant and suffering from SPD. Since I was getting my pelvis done they just did my back/neck too. It felt great I thought. But nothing I thought was remarkable...except one week when she tweaked my neck wrong. I didn't notice until I got home but it hurt bad. I had a stiff neck and a headache that radiated up to my crown for 3 days until my next appointment. With one little pop she made it all better, it was amazing. The pelvis adjustments did help, I was barely able to walk otherwise.

It's the mechanical form of taking an aspirin. Over time it can cause damage to the body.
@Tastyfrzz

how do you mean?
Might be better off doing actual research than asking a bunch of dummies like us then.
@TwiddlerofThumbs

I will. But i thought i'd go for spoon feeding approach first lol

Treat bone and muscle maladies yes, to cure diseases like collic cancer and other illnesses no
