how to not take life, myself and people too seriously and be 'happy'

i always tend to take life, myself and people too seriously and end up feeling uptight, which isn't good for my health, so how can you learn to just 'relax', take a breath and let things go? not brood on what someone said or did which you didn't like?

Well, it's certainly not easy, letting things go at times. I have found that when I am upset about something someone said or did, the quickest way for ME to forget about it and move on is to play an online game.

I particularly love Sherlock Detective Hidden object and Maze game. There is ONE chapter of ONE book which I know backwards and forwards, and if I play that one game till they kick me off the site because I've run out of energy, it calms me down completely. By the time I am done, I don't even remember being upset! ☺☺☺

@4meAndyou LOL so interesting to read,i happen to love sherlock holmes fiction in general, although never heard of the game you said, but i often listen to sherlock holmes audiobooks on youtube, 10 hour long some of them and they help me sleep too,....when you said ' run out of energy' i related to that as i often run of energy on this site, you probably already noticed at times lol....but altogether i still enjoy the site, and interacting with nice people like yourself...i'm up very late tonight, it's 3am here now, so off to bed, kind regards.

@durinsBane1983 I hope you slept well. And I do thank you for all the best comments! Sherlock online game is loads of fun, and I hope you decide to try it.

Ive just accepted about myself that I take things too seriously. I dont even get jokes. I take them too literally. As for not caring about what people think so much, for me it was a combination of things. Being a store greeter at Walmart during covid, discovering husband had a double life, and lots of therapy.
