Have You Used These Types Of Lights? They fit in a ceiling fixture where a light bulb can be screwed in…

I have two, one in my kitchen over the sink and another in the laundry room. Makes it very bright. I need another one for the garage but this type didn’t fit in the garage’s light fixture, there are other kinds that will.

I have a Husky portable, battery powered hand held light with similar cells, also a 120 volt, screw in deck light bundled with a camera. and a few solar powered deck lights with similar cells. They all give BRIGHT light! The hand held Huskey runs on 3 AA batteries that go a year between recharging and we use it practically every day.

@Heartlander that would be great for a power outage and also when you are looking for something in a large dark storage cabinet.

I have. I replaced the lights in my shop with these. They are amazingly bright and not very expensive.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Nitedoc Supposed to last up to 20 years and only use a tiny bit of electricity too.
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@cherokeepatti The lower energy use is why I put them in, mainly.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Nitedoc I really like that brightness, can see things I never noticed before.
I have one in the garage on the side with the shop area. Nice to be able to angle the light where it is needed.

I haven't got any like that. They look like fans.

@cherokeepatti That's it. Looking for something in dark or shadowy areas. Like looking for the TV remote, or looking for something in the pantry. It's like sunshine bright.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Heartlander yes I want one in the living room on the ceiling fan light fixture. From afternoon through evening this living room is dark, morning is OK on a sunny day. I like to have bright light to clean, can’t see dust if it’s not bright enough.

Nope. I've seen them, though. If I still lived in my previous house in Plymouth, I would definitely get one or two of those for the basement.

Garage , attics , barns . They are so bright !

@TexChik Watched a camping video where they had one that used batteries in their tent.

Link on Amazon? “Crazy led lightbulb” didn’t work
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User this is just one of them. You can look on Home Depot etc for them too.

Those are wicked bright. I have a couple in the garage.

Yeah, the Nebo brand ones. They're ridiculously bright. Way too bright for anything but a garage or shop.
MethDozer · M
@cherokeepatti Nebo makes these bulbs that fit in regular light sockets but have a battery backup that charges off the mains for blackouts. Pretty cool.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MethDozer yeah have thought of those too, very pricey for one bulb and I wonder how long they would last in a light socket. I could put one in my ceiling fan light bulb socket I suppose, wouldn’t burn out that way because I don’t use the ceiling light that much.

@cherokeepatti Decent quality LED bulbs last for years and years.
