Showering two.... three times a day!
Manicures,
pedicures,
facials,
skin routines,
stylin time (?🤷♀?)
Hair treatments,
spray tans,
massages, (like they strained anything except their personal space..🙄) !
Hair spas
And any other Hydra, oxygen, gold needling, injection plumping face scraping bullshit.
I work. I have kids. I gotta do this other bullshit thing called life.
Bloody hell !
I get up,
coffee up,
uniform up
and spend 10 minutes trying to make this face 'less grumpy bitch lookin'...
.... grab mah keys and leave.
I get home,
throw off my shoes,
prep some sorta dinner,
chill for 2 hrs
and shove a shower in if i can find energy between scraping myself offa the couch and brushing my teeth.
I dont have time to be obsessively manicuring my body to some sort of idealised, "microcosmicly into the quantum realm" clean.
....coz thats not NORMAL
I get dirty.
I wash the dirt off.
If i dont get dirty....daint no dirt to wash off.
they talk about self care ....pfff - dont make me laugh.
My self care IS that 2 hr nightly chill out and me sleeping in till lunch on Saturdays.
And yeah....I DONT SHOWER THAT DAY COZ .....FUCK THAT. I'll survive.
What i wont survive with - is no time to bloody DECOMPRESS !
I gloriously sit in my grunge of a whole days sweat coz im blissing out on sublimely DOING NOTHING😌
I aint died yet coz of wearing my own sweat for mote than 24 hrs🙄
Yeah ...i get pampering is nice.
If i got Saturday energy and time - i do it....its lovely. Its a real treat to smell like roses and be silky smooth and all that jazz.
But daily over indulgence on excessive hygiene ISNT the norm, no matter what spin.... or judgemental guilt trip....you wanna sell.
