An “old” friend reached out yesterday and I rejected her.

She was my best friend and hurt me in a spectacular way. It literally took me years and probably thousands of dollars in therapy to get over it.

And I shut her down. It’s too late. Sorry.

I am a little bit proud of this.

That's a tough one, but you did the right thing. The last thing you need is to reopen old wounds at a time when you're trying to be calm and centered and focusing on what's important.
