Mom getting older

Spent the last 2 weekends at mom's and really started noticing she's slowing down. Wouldn't know it from talking on the phone.

We're all getting up there

It’s so tough. A reality I’ve been facing too. Don’t forget to keep taking care of yourself along the way.

Aaw, big hugs. That really hurts the heart. For me, it was seeing my dad become weak and feeble🥹

@moonlightlullaby She is so much fun to be around. Our Ikea trip was entertaining. "They need a new decorator for their little kitchens"

@forestG How cute 🤭

Same here. My mom is in her late 70ties and i notice her falling apart slowly. I hate it. She is such a nice person and i want to be able to talk to her forever. If there was any kind of chance to make her immortal i would be happy.

Yep I’m really starting to feel it now myself.

@gregloa are you on anticoagulants? Ibuprofen can irritate your stomach and potentially lead to bleeding if you aren't careful, but I am not aware of any other contraindications for it. You might want to discuss it with your physicians and pharmacist in case you need it.

@samueltyler2
If you have a fib, you’re on blood thinners because you’re high risk for stroke without them. You’re not supposed to take nsaids while on blood thinners.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@gregloa you may be on anticoagulants depending upon the type of atrial defect, but that is not an absolute contraindication, but I won't argue with you. Today, there is a nation therapy that if effective "cures" a fib and you can stop anticoagulation.

I'm terrified of losing them, yet it is inevitable
As my sister recently said, with more runway behind us than in front of us. ✈

How old is mom if you don`t mind me asking.

@forestG A year younger than me.. yeah we do slow down as much as we don`t like it. If she can still carry on a conversation with you like that, then she is still young at heart. ❤

Can't stop it
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
You are still just a kid! ❤
