does anti aging medicine really work

in a previous post i said how i worried i was aging before my time due to stress and someone told me to look into ' anti aging medicine ' but what is this and does it work? i have never heard of it.

There is no anti-aging medication that's currently proven to work. There is some evidence that a medication known as rapamycin may have anti-aging properties, but almost all of this evidence is in lab animals, not humans. It's a pretty well tolerated, well-studied drug though (developed for organ rejection), so many people choose to take it despite the weak evidence.

Barring that, building muscle is a really good way to extend your healthspan. As we get old, we lose muscle mass inevitably. Working out can't fully stop it, but if you have bigger muscles to begin with, it'll take a lot more time for your muscles to atrophy to the point of it being a problem. Frailty is a massive risk for old people, as it can lead to severe injuries, which in turn cause further health decline. This was part of how my grandmother died.
