Am I growing old and decrepit?

In attempting to remove plastic lid of a jar of Peanut Butter I had to resort to using a bread slicing knife, then a pair of pliers to remove lid.
This happens often with soft drink bottles as well. Many times I can not remove the lid.
Exasperating at times.
Anyone here come up against these first world problems 🤔 😄

Not quite that bad, yet yes. I can no longer walk ten miles without taking a break of some sort.

Four years ago I could easily do it in 100° plus weather. Actually even further.

I still take two steps at a time up to my apartment on the second floor. 🙃

Suggestion. Don't stop trying. The moment you stop is when there's no hope. Next time try even harder.

I still do that ten mile walk. Just stop every once in a while when I must. Know your limits.

Three years ago I was in your age group.

I use my Ove Glove to open tight lids, it’s got rubber on the glove the grips great.

I tap the edges, then run the lid under hot water.

I used to laugh at my dad when he couldn’t open a jar and now I can’t at same age he was ! It’s just old age got to be cunning and use tools

You can get lid pliers. Had one for years. Don't use it much, still got a fair grip.

@SW-User Great idea. Then I could drink the melted PB. 😋
