There are a few men older than me that I am platonically in love with them

One is a famous greek musician. Another is an older teacher of mine. I wouldn't really like anything more than that with them, to make it clear. Yet.. I'm saddened that they're getting older!

Love is always platonic, be it for your parents, siblings, teachers/gurus or friends.

People started to use it instead of using the word lust just to make them sound more decent.

@ABCDEF7 Is it? 😮 Maybe you're right?!?!

@being I think so. We usually have two emotions with our spouse/gf/bf/etc. One is the feeling of love/respect/care for them, which can have different levels of deepness depending on your relationship. Other is of lust, that is more or less depend on your desires/basic instincts, not on your emotions. But when you share such moments with them, it can make you connect more deeply at level of emotions with them. But such emotions you feel that have grown out of physical relations can be one sided, because your physical closeness made you connect at emotional level with them, not their emotional response that made you develop the emotions.

@ABCDEF7 you know only lately I can understand what you mean. Till sometime ago, there was no separation, all feelings seemed one chaotic ball 🏈

@being Yes, it's sad, it happens to many. I can understand. That's why I prefer the path from emotions/love leading to that complete bonding, not from physical connect leading to the expected bonding/relationship. The first one is expected to last long, more strong and true..
