How do I get an obgyn to agree to a hysterectomy?

In all seriousness after this baby is born I want it all gone I’ve been consistent with that conclusion for years on once I’m done having babies I want it all gone.. I work with a midwife for pregnancies and well womens exams but I need an obgyn for this part.. I’ve gone over the pros and cons already I just need to convince a doctor that I’ve made the right choice for me

That is a bit too aggressive don't you think? A tubal ligation is much less dangerous and life altering. Will your partner not consider a vasectomy?

@TexChik he will but I have really painful ovulation and periods and I want them to be over

@MommaBear Find a good surgeon...a few years back I had one tiny blood dot on my panties. My next door neighbor is my doctor and a trauma surgeon at the local hospital. She had me in that day and they ran all the test. I had a very tiny but aggressive cancer that needed to go. I was in shock so she drove me to a Chinese woman she said was the most ridiculously talented surgeon she had ever seen, but she also had a very dry personality. She said she could do it tomorrow, doc said she was scrubbing in and they did it. It was the size of a small potato. She did it mostly robotically and took 200 biopsies . The biopsies were clear, the cancer had only started , and my subsequent PET scans have all been clear. But I was only down a couple of days and sore for a week.
Idk. I had one, but later in life, and that's because I had endometriosis and adenomyosis.

How many kids do you have?

@MsSwan this is baby #6 I’ve had enough babies 😂
@MommaBear Maybe they will be more likely to give you one based on how many kids you have. 🤷

Idk what it's like where you are, but in Norway it's extremely hard to get it done.

Example: a friend of mine in her 40's has 3 adult kids (20+ years old), doesn't want any more kids, has been (volunteeraly) single since the last kid was 2, is a disability pensioner bc of massive back pains, and has extreme and paralyzing cramps every single months.

She got denied the surgery because, according to her MALE doctor "she might change her mind about having more kids"

@TheRealBarbossa I’ve tried to get sterilization before and they told me no for the same reason but I feel like (now) 6 is enough I’m done my body can’t handle another after this

@MommaBear Womens health isn't taken seriously at all, because there are hardly any studies done on female anatomy throughout history.

I may identify as a man, but I've lived in a womans body 39,5 years and counting, so I know first hand the horrible treatment and understanding of womens issues.

I will continue to speak out about it to spread awareness until my dying breath.

Do the hormones from the birth control methods that stop your period really mess with you too? I know they cripple some women mentally. It would be nice if you could make the call regarding your own body although I saw my mom's hysterectomy do a number on her when she got it done around 40.

Just get your tubes tied.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
@MommaBear No eggs, no ovulation. My wife said it made hers much easier.
MommaBear · 26-30, F
@Degbeme getting your tubes tied doesn’t stop ovulation though

@MommaBear I`m just going by what my wife has told me. I don`t have any of those parts. I used to enjoy that one part.
