Have you ever experienced whooshing in your ear?

I'm not certain when it began but I'm thinking a few weeks ago most likely. It was only at night, this whooshing sound on my ear, but I've had it in the morning too sometimes. I looked it up and it's pulsatile tinnitus. Most often caused by vascular flow, and often benign. I do have still a misaligned jaw, and that's the side it's on. It said online , a misaligned jaw can cause whooshing. I noticed if I hold my jaw manually over a few cm, where it should be, the whooshing stopped.
Anyone experience this? It's hard to remember when it began but I think perhaps a few weeks ago.

I’ve had this now for a few years. My doc, who has it as well, said it’s nothing to worry about. It’s always there for me but it doesn’t really bother me. It’s worse when there’s no sound like talking or tv but even at night I’ve learned to not let it stop me from falling asleep. Just another fun part of getting older lol.

@4thdimensiondream I was reading online to go to doctor if persistent but I also read it' can be sometimes from high blood pressure if it's on both ears. Mine is on one. And I think I have a good feeling what it is..I've had a misaligned jaw a few years and I read that is often the cause or TMJ issues with jaw. I have both so I'm pretty sure it's the reason of the whooshing. How long has your gone on? I think it's been a few months for me.

@Baybreeze been a few years now. Might be something with jaw you’re right. My wife says I snore badly and didn’t use to.

The jaw is a common source. Muscle tension from clenching or grinding can cause that

Get checked for perforated eardrum, have you been unsteady on your feet lately while sober
