Wonder if my dad had a mini stroke

For past couple weeks now, my dad's food intake has gone way down and he occasionally shakes his dominant hand, involuntary. He's in a nursing home and he did have a stroke several years ago. He now says odd things too, like I got a new TV, when he didn't. And he didn't know his roommate name. But he used to just act silly for years, and would fib things/act surprised. But this seems different. And he is now occasionally forgetting the name of his medicine.

His voice seems very light too almost weak. But he denied being weak. The staff doesn't seem to recognize any changes but they're never in there long.
My mom went in today and asked for a doctor to evaluate him or do a brain scan. But I know the doctor is not in until Monday. I wonder whether to make him go to the ER? He himself denied being weak but his hand can barely lift a cup. I don't know to wait until Monday. 😕
Rereading this myself, I think I'm going to push to go to ER tomorrow even if he decline at first.

Given his stroke history, it's worth getting him checked ASAP. Pushing for an ER visit tomorrow seems like a good idea 💪. His denial might be due to not realizing how much he's struggling. Have you talked to the nursing home staff about your concerns? 🤔

@Sakshichoudhary I did talk to them about my concerns and they did what they did in the past, dismissed it. I actually got heart palpitations going above them, but I called 911. He was so weak and listless. And I'm glad I did. They found his lung had fluid in it, infection and swollen lymph nodes in stomach. No wonder he's been so weak. So he's in there now and will be a few days. I'm glad I did listen to myself after all.
