CPR for the whole family

So tonight we had deli sandwiches and pasta salad for dinner then the real fun started. We had a family CPR class.

Joel was able to test out and get recertified because he already knew what to do. I'm glad because I know he was in pain because of the cortisone shot he got. The training was not easy.

So while me, my buddy, Star, Sissy and Grandma took the full course Joel worked with the boys teaching them the basics of CPR.

Well all passed the training and test. And the boys got honorary training certificates.

I am glad that everyone in the house is trained and now knows what to do

I really hope we never have to use it, but I still think what if Joel was inside when our oldest boy choked. What would we have done.

We ended the night with s'mores and once the kids were in bed the adults enjoyed the whiskey and cigars. Grandma is staying the night so Joel and I will sleep in the living room.

A suggestion?
Once a month have a refresher course amongst the whole household.
That way everyone will know instinctively what to do.
There is no way that CPR will be remembered with only one lesson.
Make it a fun night, maybe have the boys wrap everyone in bandages (after the lesson)
Head bandage, Arm slings, Sprained Wrist, Dicky Knee etc.
Just a suggestion.

@Gusman yeah that is a good idea. Joel's ex wife is a nurse so she can get the practice dolls anytime and bring them home if we want to practice
