So I had lab work done again

My new primary doctor ordered lab work. So I went in today and the techv was about to go for my arm.

I said I have bad veins and they always struggle to get blood from my arms and much better luck on my hands.

The tech said oh that's because I haven't done your blood stick before.

So yes I did it I said no, I want you to use my hand because I don't want to get stuck 3 different times and get bruises.

And she listened and I only got stuck one!!

So yeah I stood up for myself

@Gusman I honestly felt really bad and like I was being rude but I'm glad I did it I still have bruises from the last time they tried to draw blood.

@Cigarguy It gets easier each time. Now that you know you will be listened to, you will tell them each time, not allowing them to use your arm. Be firm.

@Gusman thank you everyone tells me I need to stand up for myself more so I'm trying to it's not easy I'd rather just hide in the corner and have nobody notice me

@Cigarguy You are doing good. It is always difficult to stand up for ourselves if we have been meek.
As you know, being meek will see blood being taken from your arm, which will end end up black and blue.
Keep going. Be strong and understand you are worthy of being listened to.
