Day two of prednisone!

I'm full of energy and want to eat everything in site! I made some avocado toast with mustard and it was freaking yummy!

Have you taken prednisone? What were your experience with it like?
I take it a lot because of a allergies and asthma.

My brain was going a million miles an hour, I found myself being short tempered, and road-raging. Also, my skin felt greasy all the time. I was pre-diabetic, but prednisone kicked me over the goal post into diabetes.

@RockerDad some have psychotic episodes precipitated by it
RockerDad · M
@samueltyler2 yes I have seen that before, in the short term.
@RockerDad I am worried about it. It raises blood sugars. I think it can affect the heart too.
@samueltyler2 Yes. It's scary. I'm staying in until it tapers down more. Thankfully I have not had a psychotic break. I do get rather impatient and moody though.
RockerDad · M
@PromiseProtectionProvision psychotic breaks are pretty rare, but everyone responds differently to it.
@RockerDad How are you now? Were you able to reverse it? I'm sorry to hear that.
RockerDad · M
@PromiseProtectionProvision no, I’m still diabetic. Im on medication for it.
@RockerDad I'm sorry.

@RockerDad when on any corticosteroid you have to be aware that your diabetes can go wacko.

@samueltyler2 for sure. I still have pretty bad asthma, but I usually refuse oral steroids because of that.

@RockerDad have you discussed this with your health professionals? There are so many other therapies available these days.
RockerDad · M
@samueltyler2 yes I have. I take inhaled steroids instead.
