What's new in health? Vocal test for diabetes

A small piece in today's paper states;
A 25 second voice recording could be used to help identify if someone has type 2 diabetes.
This is based on a discovery people with the condition have a "voice signature".
Researchers at the Luxemborg Institute of Health say it is due to the effect the condition can have on the lungs, muscles and nerves used in producing sounds.
The researchers say the test could be used by people at home to check for signs of the disease, which could be confirmed by a blood test.

Or you could save time and just get the blood test and know for sure

@NativePortlander1970 The research seems perfectly legitimate. It's the news media that is making it out to be more immediately useful than it actually is that is the problem.
@ninalanyon Pseudoscience is often fudged to manipulate the data to "prove" their "conclusions".
