I had one, he was a general practisioner who died of very old age. I used to get walking pneumonia and couldn't afford a doctor so he would treat me with antibiotics that I couldn't get back then from any fish store or online. My payments was in the form of him presenting a historical query, and I would get him a primary text translation on that subject, the best in the field. Stuff nobody else in my area would know about. Last thing I got him was a record of a reenactment of the Lincoln Douglas Debates, because he said he really wished he could go back in time and hear them debate. He then had a stroke, lost the ability to communicate. I got him the record but the home he practiced out of (he was on the board of the home) didn't have record players, so I had to go to a radio station to have it converted over to cassett.
Last bit of entertainment he had. Family had no idea who I was when I showed up at the funeral viewing, said I was his final patient and they didn't believe me due to my age. Then I mentioned the record and they were blown away it was me.
