@Coralmist Yes ! When I had the right one corrected, the cataract in the left eye hadn’t developed enough to be an issue. I’ve always been able to see relatively well in the dark, but when the cataracts became a problem, one clue was seeing that film or shadow. After the first operation, the shadow was gone from the right eye. Now it’s gone from the left, as well.

@Rutterman I went to my post-op appt today, wore sunglasses for protection. The eye they worked on yesterday looked no different from the other one. But I could see so much better than I had. 😃

@TheSirfurryanimalWales As surgeries go, it’s not that bad; minimal discomfort and it’s outpatient. And you’re in the UK, so there’s probably little if any cost.

@cuppatea It wasn’t painful at all. The most annoying thing last time was that they put the IV on the back of my hand.
This time I had them put it in my arm, and barely felt it. Today I confirmed with a follow up appt that everything’s healing well, then came home and have been watching tv without glasses. 😊

@MethDozer Not really. My eye is getting used to the new lens and the vision is sharper, but no discomfort.
