I'd immediately ban all medical ads on Tv. You lot are way way over medicated and the system seems to try to keep you dependent.

And there is just naked profit orientation at all levels between doctors and pharmaceuticals, Phamaceuticals and Insurance companies, Hospital networks and the other 3.

It disincentivises actual care for the patient. You become a percentage point on a graph.

Now a good portion do express adequate medical care but I'm very interested in seeing the demographic, socio-economic relationship with healthcare outcomes in this highly commercialised system.

The profit motive disincentivises people becoming healthier; prisoners becoming responsible members of society; troubled children leaving care . . the private sector should steer well clear of enterprise where there are such clear and damaging conflicts of interest.

@SunshineGirl That’s it, exactly. The system as it stands makes it more profitable for the medical community (including pharmaceutical companies) to manage illnesses rather than to find cures.
