Haven’t been able to go to church

I’ve been keeping up with services on YouTube, but I haven’t gone in person because my coughing fits and how weak I feel. It’s been two months.
It’s different going in person and actually being around other people. I’m grateful for service being online, but the internet is never going to be able to reproduce what being around people gives you. (Especially being around my brothers and sisters in Christ)

I dreamed that I went, but we were in a different building and I was able to lay down during service. 😅 That would seriously help. I just feel so weak and tired lately.

Maybe I’ll try going to the next ladies’ Bible study to test if I can make it the whole time without a coughing fit. I really miss church.
I hope you feel better soon and you get to go to church. ❤🙏

I agree. Try going ladies class or Wednesday night classes if your church has those

I have a tiny bit of the same problem. Nothing like what you are suffering, of course...but I hesitate to go to church because I have been coughing so much for about a month.
@4meAndyou I’m worried I’ll interrupt the service with a coughing fit or just have to leave early.

@Colonelmustardseed IF and when I go again, I plan to wear a face mask and sit in the far back so that I can leave if things get out of control. I went ONCE while I was still coughing, wore a face mask, and I STILL got some very horrified "looks".
@4meAndyou I hate those looks.
My prayers for you to be able to go back to church when you can!

Keep well in the meantime!
@BritishFailedAesthetic Thank you. 🧡

Is the cancer in your lungs now? 🫤
@Lilymoon Yeah. It shrunk everywhere else, but grew on my lungs.

@Colonelmustardseed I'm really sorry 🫤
I have my fingers crossed they'll come up with something for you soon.

Providing your cough isn't something contagious you should probably still try and attend anyway if you're able.

One because it would probably do your mental and spiritual health no end of good seeing and meeting old friends and acquaintances you haven't seen in a while, and two, aren't the sick welcome in the church ?
@Picklebobble2 It’s not contagious; it’s cancer. They would all welcome me, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t have to leave anyway when the coughing fits get so bad that I’m throwing up. So gross and embarrassing when that happens.
Besides, I’m very weak lately. That’s why I said it would be nice if I could lay down during service.
