Yes. Being diabetic and susceptible to neuropathy, it’s especially important. I don’t go barefoot, even in the house I wear slippers. My grandfather was a shoemaker; he always stressed the importance of wearing well-made shoes. Even now, no corns, bunions or hammer-toes and the soles are softer than some folks’ hands.
