Would you pull all your teeth out just because you didn't like your smile?

My friends sister had all her teeth pulled just because she thought it might look better with dentures. Before she did it, I told her she had good teeth. I gave suggestions, like maybe the dentist could just fill in a gap she had on the upper part. She seemed excited, but I told her there's no going back after you do it. Well, now that she did it, she regrets it and said she hates every single thing about it now. I wish she hadn't have done it

Are you sure she got all her teeth pulled out or she got veneers? Because no sane doctor would do that without a valid reason, at least not where I live.
@Fairydust That’s awful. ☹️

Yeah I couldn’t understand why she did it. 😞

@deadteddy yes, every one of them. She said she wasn't told an option of maybe getting a partial. I was wondering why she didn't think of that herself first. Her teeth weren't even all that bad

That's insane

No but I know someone that did that, I’ll never understand it. 😬

No. I like having real teeth.
That has to be some kind of dysmorphia. It is an extreme reaction.

Damn that’s crazy
🤦‍♂️ huge mistake
I had an elderly coworker at at restaurant in the late 90's when she turned 18 she had all her pulled, she told me her family had a history of bad teeth, she never regretted it.

Some people can do very well with dentures,even when they had their teeth pilled when they were very young. A lot of it depends on the skill of the dentist in making the dentures and the attitude of the person who has become toothless. @NativePortlander1970]
@Corsair My oldest brother got dentures in 2011, whoever he went to did a piss poor job, nobody can hardly understand him when they're in, the same with the actor, Jeff Bridges.

@NativePortlander1970 That goes to my comment that it depends on the skill of the dentist. Also, it depends on the attitude of the person who has become toothless. It takes patience, practice, and persistence to be a successful denture wearer. It doesn't happen overnight.
