My wife had a health incident

Last monday my wife, who has minor cognitive issues, went out with friwends for lunch to a nice place in Melbourne. After the meal, she was unwell and that deteriorated quickly to the point where she was laid out in the ladies room confused and vomitting. An ambulance was called and she was taken to a major city hospital, where she was taken to Emergency, and attended to. I caught up with her there.. She was treated in the ER. She isnt the easiest pateint, and gets angry easily. But she was rehydrated with a IV, had anti nausea medication and a CT scan, after about 8 hours I convenced the staff this was "normal" for her and took her home. The total bill? $28 for the car park...😷

My wife had an ear issue while visiting Sydney a couple of days before we were due to fly back to the U.S. So we asked the hotel desk about getting it examined as the flight could further exacerbate whatever it was, and they said they would call the hotel doctor and have him come to our room. He did, syringed out the ear because it was just ear wax build up. Bill was around $20 Australian which at that time was about $10 US. I was embarrassed to put in a claim to insurer for emergency care while traveling. I'm sure it got passed around through many hands for a good laugh.
