I've used a one in the past, and it worked, so I'm one to recommend it. The only thing I suggest is to find one with experience. I just went to a young one last week, and it was not that affective.

I have and it helped greatly. I had a curve in my lower spine and after a few months therapy it was gone. They have different types of therapies that they use. Also my chiropractor wouldn’t proceed until I had x-rays done, I’ve got bone spurs and degenerated discs in my neck and lower back plus the x-rays showed rheumatoid arthritis which I’d had for about 15 years.
The chiropractor I have gets sent athletes from the university when they need an adjustment so he sees quite a few of those.

you have to be really careful. they can "overmanipulate" and cause more damage especially if you have bulging discs.

@jshm2 Thai deep tissue 🧐 ill do research on that
akindheart · 61-69, F
I am an adjuster. sometimes they overmanipulate and cause more problems. They also charge for EACH modality. adjustment, hot and cold packs, electric stimulation. so if you have a serious problem, don't go.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@akindheart I went to one when my back was in a curve and he got it straightened out. This chiropractor gets student athletes from various athletics, they are sent to him.
Nevaeh0081 · 36-40, F
Sure.
Unless you have a medical reason not to.
Probably should talk to your doctor about it first.

@Nevaeh0081 that's a good thought. I actually figured it out by now 😅 it was the desk I worked at. Not a good height for long-term work for me, was bad for my posture; hence the pains
Nevaeh0081 · 36-40, F
@wackidywack nmh. Gotta be careful with posture.
thepeculiarpanda · 36-40, M
I did for many years but wouldn't risk it again having looked more deeply into the dangers of it. Especially with my spinal cord having thinned at this point. 😅
KittenSmitten0 · 26-30, F
I go to them monthly and get adjustments with acupuncture. It's amazing! Maybe talk to a doctor and not the internet though. Lol
wackidywack · 26-30
@KittenSmitten0 I'm actually looking at just how common it is

SW-User
I do go to.one and have for several years but you have to do your research and find one who knows what they're doing
Dolimyte · 41-45, M
If you want temporary relief from back pian based in pseudoscience, go for it. I personally would save my money.
ImRileyTheDog · 22-25, F
Yeah if it’s free
They do that stuff to dog and babies so it should be fine on adults too

Coralmist · 41-45, F
@ImRileyTheDog Its really pricey 🙁
ImRileyTheDog · 22-25, F
@Coralmist Insurance can cover it then
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@ImRileyTheDog True usually it will cover back treatment , but not jaw treatment 😲 I spent so much on it.
Beardedguy · 36-40, M
I have and i should book another
wackidywack · 26-30
@Beardedguy was it expensive 👉👈
Beardedguy · 36-40, M
@wackidywack a bit yeah but worth it if you need to go
PTCdresser57 · 61-69, M
I go 2 times a week...it helps so much!
wackidywack · 26-30
@PTCdresser57 for how long now ??
PTCdresser57 · 61-69, M
Been going for 6 weeks now wackidywack...she has me to a point that I am relatively pain free in my neck and back
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
I probably should. Maybe I have no idea how much I could be set free

SW-User
I would proceed carefully with that, if I were you.
popmol · 26-30, M
wait is that the legal protected medical professional or the weird voodoo mojo stick?
wackidywack · 26-30
@popmol the legal protected medical professional
popmol · 26-30, M
@wackidywack than i'd advise going!
exexec · 70-79, C
Yes, if I knew one I could trust.
GLITTER · 36-40, F
I would if it wasn’t so ridiculously expensive
wackidywack · 26-30
@GLITTER Hmmm possibly similar places with me 😅 I feel like it's causing me to feel exhausted all the time
GLITTER · 36-40, F
@wackidywack it’s because we constantly have our necks flexed forward
GLITTER · 36-40, F
@wackidywack and yeah I agree if exhausting. I try not to crack my neck too much but it just relieves it a bit before it goes back to agony again lol

SW-User
aren't there like a million horror stories of chiropractors hurting and/or paralyzing people? i'll just crack what i can by myself
HijabaDabbaDoo · F
Yes

SW-User
I have
wackidywack · 26-30
@SW-User would you recommend
Notanymore · 41-45, M
If I didn't hate strangers touching me, it'd be great.
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
I want to but I'll stay away from any neck twisting
wackidywack · 26-30
@deadgerbil felt
doong · 56-60, M

basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
No. If I wanted to pay to have someone put me in pain, I'd hire a dominatrix.
wackidywack · 26-30
@basilfawlty89 I think chiropractic actually intends to provide pain/discomfort relief rather than cause it
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@wackidywack I think it can provide relief, but some do experience more pain from the high velocity manipulation (when they take the neck and crack it). I do need to see one for my jaw. Its misaligned.
