That means your levels are very high. They just want to check your pituitary gland and make sure all is normal.

Hi it seems like the last post was correct, they want to do an MRI of your pituitary gland.
It's a tiny gland in your head that sits beneath your brain.
I had an MRI of mine earlier this month. The scan itself is ok although a little noisy. The hardest part is keeping still while they do it.

Please don't be scared. It's just an MRI. Whatever they're suspecting about your prolactin level can't be too serious. If it's off one way or the other, I'm sure it can be adjusted.

Serious does not mean 'untreatable' so I hope it's somethign that can be addressed quickly with minimal pain and disruption for you <3

It’s always alarming when the doctor contacts you, requesting a procedure. I’m sure it’s ok, but you should get this done soon. Are you lactating?

Hmm. Are you on any medication that could affect prolactin? I was on risperidone and it caused hyperprolactin levels.
