It is important to maintain physical health and mental health. I became obsessed with weighing out my food, counting calories and finding eating a nightmare of guilt in order to lose weight. It worked for a while and I lost a reasonable amount. Then I realised I had lost all joy in meal times, celebratory family occasions and was constantly thinking about the next carefully planned meal. I have put some weight back on - not back to where I was - but am mentally more healthy. My advice is don't over-obsess with weight. Look at some of those treating/advising you and you'll probably realise they don't. 馃槂

@Thomas52 Wow yes weighing of foods wouldtake a lot of mental energy out of me for the day. I have always tried to go by you can have everything, but in moderation. I lucked out I was ten pounds down, rather than just a few. Im glad you are having a more rounded take on your food and joy! 馃尭
