Has anyone ever taken collagen?

ive been doing it since sept, my calcium level was high and i have osteopenia and got an article on my email about how collagen helps with it so i started taking it, when i did some bloodwork recently for my kidney doctor my calcium level is back to normal, they were checking my neck at a lifeline screening and it showed i had no blockages, cant wait to get my cholesterol checked when i see my doctor in 2 wks, i heard it brings that down, my bones dont hurt as much, theyre healing up, i heard collagen makes new bones, my eczema is going away, ive lost weight, not as tired anymore or have headaches all the time like i used to, i heard its good for heart and arteries, ive only been on it since sept but i wondered if anyone else had an experience with it like i have.

I eat the grisaille of just about any bird joints. That actually should have plenty of collagen in it. It's what collagen is.

This talks about bone broth which is another source, yet just the grisaille between the bones is the best source of collagen.

Must note I actually make such a broth myself as well. It takes at least a couple of pounds of chicken bones to make chicken broth.
I took it for four years, but now, I'm a collagen graduate. 👨‍🎓

my dad gave me some move free supplements that have collagen in them when i complained my joints were hurting. they helped a lot. i also notice my lips get poutier when i take collagen.

I was taking it but it wasn’t stopping the joint pain…I needed Vitamin D and Boron it seems. I should start taking it again, it’s good for hair, skin & nails & joints. I took a liquid supplement that I bought at Sam’s Club about 25 or more years ago…it had collagen and everything in it including minerals and enzymes. I lost weight and felt better, like I had more energy. Bought it till they stopped selling it. Can’t even remember the name now. It was about $25 for a bottle that lasted one month.

I took it as part of a protein supplement. I didn’t get any vitals done but I noticed a difference in my face (skin). It looked improved - the colour and the skin tone. Prob not anything anyone else would have noticed but I seemed to.

How much weight did you lose?
pearllederman · 61-69, F
@DoubleRings not sure but im done to 110, i remember being almost 130, but i didnt lose that fast

@pearllederman that’s really good even still. I was 175 in sept and down to 169 and it’s really hard, taking forever but I’d like to be around 150.

I’ve been taking it for about two-years. No noticeable difference. I doubt it affects all those conditions you mentioned. It’s supposed to be good for skin, hair, and joints.

@Carissimi Why do you keep taking it if you don't notice any difference?
Carissimi · 70-79, F
I often ask myself the same question. I think it’s because the couple of times I stopped taking it, my knees got worse. However, the same knee just had a bad flare up while I’ve been taking it, so it could all be a coincidence. It’s not knowing if my joints would be worse without it or not. It’s expensive too. @SW-User
This is very interesting…. First time I hear about it… but I doubt if I ever dare to do it…

Thanks for the information tho…

Uh!! Also, I’m glad that it has worked well for you….🤗❤️🥰

@Soossie Why wouldn't you "dare" to do it? Lol, is collagen scary?
@SW-User

Anything that might be genetically engineered or any chemical products that might be injected or implanted scare me… yes

sounds incredible to me.
