Please help me decide

So I go to a chiropractor to align my misaligned jaw, from night grinding. Ive been going a year and its slowly healing. They also do back and neck adjustments, saying my x ray last year showed I needed it. I just accepted it. Recently somehow the tool they use really hurt my spine for several days. Piercing pain. But, its never done that all year. So I wonder, do I tell them stop back treatment, so it wont happen again, and just focus on jaw.. or just continue back as well, as it only occurred once? Im torn.

Def tell them it hurt you. Doctors need a patient's feedback to do proper treatment.

@canusernamebemyusername I will tell them yes, but I also kinda just want yo stop back treatment, and I have a strong feeking they will try to dissuade me and to continue the back. 😞
@Coralmist Def tell them you would prefer if they wouldn't do that. You don't have to be confrontational about it. They is such a thing as constructive criticism after all. You can also ask them why the back is so important and if it does have anything to do with your jaw at all.

@canusernamebemyusername Last time I spoke up about an issue, in beginning, they did comply but first tried to question me and to try alter my mind on it. (About a technique they use) So im sure it will be similar because they pushed doing the back in the beginning, that everyone needs a straight one and how it connects to everything, but I dont believe it does have anything to do with my grinding or jaw. Im just so nervous to speak up. 😒With a periodontist, they would give you a type of splint that you wear 24/7, not spine work.
@Coralmist Have you talked to a periodontist instead then? A lot of people a just sales people trying to get you to buy a product. Like my dentist pushes for me to get a guard to help with grinding. But I don't grind. I used to due to a medication side effect. But half the time I'm sleeping with my mouth open anyway so getting a guard would be useless.

@canusernamebemyusernameI talked to someone who is seeing one and thats the main treatment, as the splint will gently realign it over time. I never knew about periodontist, until recently, and to start there now would be a very pricey bill for the splint😞 when Ive already paid a lot at chiropractor.
@Coralmist Yeah I know it could be pricey but I'd rather pay for a treatment that works than one that isn't helping.

@canusernamebemyusername Well thing is I think they are an hour drive from me and sometimes my symptoms were vertigo so i went with chiropractor is closer. Im talking of a cranio doctor who fixes misalignment, was too far, but I think periodontist was also far. The chiropractor treatment of my jaw is helping actually, just not the back treatment...although it only hurt badly jusr recently, but it was for over a week. I just dont want to continue it, and I need to face my fear that they wont like it at first.
@Coralmist They will like it even worse if they end up hurting you and you sue. So standing up to them helps them too.
