dont diet, work out
all diets consist of starving yourself, either literally or of certain nutrients or foods
just dont eat junk food and work out, im 170 at 6'3 and have lost 30 pounds very quick just from going to the gym and not eating candy or drinking soda
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@sourmilk117 I did go through a short phase of very strict keto when I was big and it did trim off a lot of fat quick when I was dangerously fat. But then yeah, now I eat green veggies, fruit, meat, eggs. However, I still keep my refined carbs count low. I workout every day too. Whilst yes I can now eat carbs every day, some people will take this to mean ‘great, toast for breakfast, rice for lunch, pasta for dinner, that’s healthy!’
sourmilk117 · 22-25, M
@pianoplayingsteve yeah i understand that, i shouldve said more.
but i dont think eating rice everyday is bad for you, most of the world does.

Not exactly a diet, but consider fasting. It is not starvation when it is one's choice to abstain from consuming food and is an actual practice that can be instrumental in breaking addiction to processed foods and/or sugar, in addition to initial expeditious weight loss. Dr. Jason Fung is just one among many authors who have written useful books about it.

It’s best to eat a properly balanced diet and thereby avoiding becoming over weight. 🙂
LunarOrbit · 56-60, M
Weigh yourself on the moon
Stopmakingsense · 61-69, F
@LunarOrbit it's probably safer than dieting.

450 calorie diet.
My parents had me on 1000 a day when I was eleven. I stopped my period, lost twelve pounds and developed a soft coating of white fur known as lanugo.
It's very effective!
But on 450 I gave myself a lot better results. You could see my heart beat through my shirt.
Instead of eating a burger and fries, drink a tall glass of water.

A young guy, try exercise and get rid of fast or processed foods.
Tminus6453 · M
Cut out all simple carbs..
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@Tminus6453 ‘but I like the sugar high! My hedonism is more important, therefore society should change to accommodate my shortcomings’
Tminus6453 · M
@pianoplayingsteve Hedonism generally prevails..🍩🍰

Breathe in when you get on the scale
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
You should see the insane claims made by some fat people, so I wouldn’t be surprised .but my point still stands, don’t weigh yourself @Emele
Emele · 31-35, F
@pianoplayingsteve But how will we know if people are obese or not to stop them accessing healthcare? You need to weigh people to know their bmi.

Or will all doors just be made narrower?
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@Emele if you can’t fit into 34” trousers then you are obese. If the door needs to be made bigger then you are obese. Pretty common sense to me
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
A diet that gives you all the nutrients you need while ensuring you don't consume more energy than you burn

Is it 2021 and we're still asking these questions?
DestroyerOfIdeologies · 26-30, M
some Italian pasta and exercise.
pianoplayingsteve · 31-35, M
@DestroyerOfIdeologies so carbs ontop of carbs on top of carbs, all refined?
dark548 · M

Keto for quick weight loss. Then go back to a normal healthy diet. We all know how to eat healthily and should stop pretending it is a mystery.
Emele · 31-35, F
@pianoplayingsteve I knew you would turn up to answer this 🤭😆
