What if I get called in for work tomorrow while I wait for the Covid 19 test results? What do I say?

I don’t wanna risk anyone getting harmed because I might have it. I don’t want to be selfish and I’m not a selfish person.

I am feeling a lot better than the last couple of days. I did tell my boss that I took the test on Friday and I get my Covid 19 test results from 2-5 days but on the paper I was told I would have to self quarantine until I get the results. I did that for three days. If I feel better tomorrow, should I go to work while I wait for my results. My dad said I should stay home but call my boss tomorrow morning but take care of myself be I would be putting everyone at risk. I work at a pet store.

Are you not able to work? If your employer knows you might have covid and can accommodate you, I don't see why you can't go to work.

@TheArbitrator What does that mean? That’s why I’m asking for advice because I don’t want to miss work and get fired.

@TheArbitrator Unless she works with children, there should be no reason she can’t get accommodations but she still needs to stay home! No exceptions because if she goes to work while waiting for the results that’s breaking the law.

@LaylaTheTallGirl If your employer can provide you with a place away from other workers & clients/customers, you can work.

Legally, you are supposed to self-quarantine if it's confirmed that you have COVID. That's not been confirmed. However, you still have a right to stay home if you think you have covid. If your employer fires you, you can report them and get unemployment benefits. It's your call but as you say, you don't want to go around people if you know you might have covid.
