8:30 a.m. - First alarm goes off. Normally I ignore it and go back to sleep.
9:30 a.m. - Second alarm goes off, and my phone gives me the weather and my daily calendar. Hypothetically, I'm supposed to get up. Most days, I do.
9:45 a.m. - Third alarm goes off, reminding me to take my morning pills. Most days, by this time I'm well on my way to grab my insulin.
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, it's off to Planet Fitness. I'm trying to get in the habit of doing it at 10:00 a.m., but I'm perpetually late. I'm lucky if I get to the gym by 11:00, even though I'm 5 minutes away from it. On Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, I talk to Mom about what we need to get done that day. Thursdays at noon I have therapy, which I have to leave for by 11:00. Tuesday afternoons I go to the Packed With Pride Food Bank at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Tigard.
But nearly every goddamn day, I have to sit through a ridiculous meeting my dad calls, that can last anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour. The worst part about them is, we always rehash the same old crap, because he writes down notes of things we need to do in five or six different places, so when it's already been done, he asks us another four times. And then he asks us about ideas that make absolutely no sense in a real world context, and takes it as a personal attack when we tell him.
Then, if there's any time left to get any of the stuff done that we've discussed, Mom and I work on it while he takes a nap.
