Major Accomplishment

took my first steps with full weight on my leg. needed a walker and 2 for support but did it. 10 steps to and 10 steps back but now Know how a baby mus feel when taking their first steps. still a long way to go and months before I gain full strength but I'm on my way

Yipee. I remember those first few steps hurt like hell. You are on your way to full recovery now. Wake up each day, coffee, Physical therapy exercises, and walking and slowly putting weight on that leg more an more each day.
Id it helps play some Rocky music to get you up and going.
@Confined surgeon and therapist say will be close to a year before full strength and able to drive again

@saragoodtimes I was back on my feet in 3 months. Wasn't easy.

@saragoodtimes The time line for recovery is really up to you. It can be 3-6 months or you can take longer. I bet you can be fairly back to normal in 3-4 months. Not to say it wont be sore, but you can be walking again if you work at it. I either walked or use a peddle exercise when watching TV. When the weather changes. OMG, Always sore. I have faith you can do this sooner then later.
@Confined been using a foot exerciser at home. back and forth motion. no sidde to side yet. hubby keeps hoping for that
