Roommate keeps saying "You'd get great results in the gym"

Okay, well you have a gym membership, can you bring me as a guest?!? I don't have a job right now, I can't spend money on my own membership yet.

He's never offered, Idk if it's because his gym doesn't allow guests or what. Maybe he's embarrassed to be seen with me.

@Selah I had FMLA which protected me from being let go when I needed extra days off because of my health conditions. My FMLA expired, and my doctor wouldn't renew it until October 7th, but my company's deadline was by the end of Sept. So they let me go.

They'd been looking for a reason to let me go, and that gave them what they needed. I don't miss it.

Guest passes are usually on offered once per person and usually only for a max of one week.

@Beachfun yep I tried that too. All it gave me was nausea. Never any weight loss even though I was dieting and walking daily. 🤷🏻‍♀

Gyms don't have guest memberships. They may provide members with a visitor pass, but that's so they can invite you and try to sell you a membership. Of course, it depends on the gym, but you may be able to negotiate a 2 for 1 discounted rate.

@Northwest the visitor pass is what I'm referring to. I know Planet Fitness lets you bring a visitor but he's not at that particular gym.

Most gyms will allow a visitors pass once too introduce you to the gym, but they expect you to either become a member or pay a drop in rate if you want to continue going there.
