Still not where i want to be with the benchpress 😕
The best I can do is 3 sets of 10 reps with 225lbs, then after that I can do a set of 8 then finish out the 2, then a set of 7 and finish out the 3.
As far as gross weight; a winded 285 is the best I've done. I can probably do more than that if I'm fresh but I doubt i can get all the way to 300.
My idea is that once i can do 5 clean sets of 10 reps of 225 lbs, I should be ready to bench 300.
Its taking longer than i feel like it should, and my 3 month arm training block is approaching (right now is the last month of legs and core)
After that block is up i bet i will probably be able to do it; my chest and back are strong af i feel like I need more out of my arms to get there and this block will most likely bring that out of them.
Its just with my arms perpetually tired i probably wont be able to push the numbers i currently can on the bench until after they get their rest at the end of the block.
Thats training for you; sometimes you have to backtrack in order to get ahead of a plateau.
