Do you ever get scared when you interact with teenagers? They remind me strongly of my mortality.

Because to them life is just beginning they have a long life ahead of them and they remind me that I’m nowhere near such a long life, I’m in the middle or even near the end. I don’t have kids, but if I did, I would probably freak out when they were teenagers. They think so differently than us, they don’t completely follow societies conventions yet, they’re like wild. And it freaks me out. Because I remember being that age. And it just really reminds me that I’m getting old. I never really think about it otherwise.

Some teenagers think and act as though they are immortal. It is a brief, passing phase. All adults have a responsibility to guide them through a difficult period of growing up.
