All the seasons in one teenager's afternoon

🌞 Collected my daughter from my mother's house yesterday. She had stayed the night and as usual had been a perfect angel for grandma.

🌩 Thought I'd take advantage of a good mood in the car to gently broach the subject of cleaning her room. This somehow ends up with a 15 year old crying and screaming in my face and throwing one of her shoes out of the car window 🤷‍♀

🥶 Daughter spends half an hour in her Time Out corner. After half an hour decides she is not speaking to me or my wife.

🌦 Sobbing sounds are heard from behind the closed bedroom door. I knock and cautiously enter. A very tearful and apologetic young lady throws herself into my arms. Shortly after we are best friends once more and I am helping to braid her hair 🌈

It's not easy being a teenager 😞😞😞

There could be something going on at school or somewhere else that she's upset about for her to lash out like that. Its good that she feels safe to boil over around you.

@Bobby1123422 It's her last year of compulsory schooling, so there is some uncertainty and anxiety. But mostly it's about body chemistry.
