I asked my teenager how her school day went . .

* Stepped in a puddle and got wet socks
* Forgot French homework had to be handed in and spent 5 mins frantically completing it
* Got told off for running in the corridor
* Got told off for shouting in the corridor 🤦‍♀️
* Shared packed lunch with a friend who had left hers at home 👍
* Cross country cancelled owing to heavy rain
* Couldn't find indoor trainers so had cold feet during replacement indoor activity
* Got bare feet trodden on by clumsy partner who was wearing trainers
* Maths assignment to be completed over the weekend

😟🌨️😭

So I asked (with some trepidation) . . marks out of 10 for your day?

7.5

7.5 . . that's 75% 😊 A good first class degree if you were studying at university 😀

Quite a good day after all 🤗

@happygoluckygal Civil disobedience in the school corridor? 😜
@SunshineGirl Got caught dancing in the corridor with my friend so drama teacher make an example of us and had us dance in front of the class.
Did leave homework at home once.
When I wore PE shoes I also went barefoot as forget them a couple of times.
@SunshineGirl My bad dancing lol in my PE kit and I also bumped into my now boyfriend as never saw him😅

@happygoluckygal Dancing in the corridor ought to be encouraged in my opinion! I am sure the teacher was just giving you the opportunity to show what a great dancer you are! 😊

Forgetting homework is an occupational hazard 😩

She has been without socks all day since she got them wet. Her feet were like ice when she came in 🥶
@SunshineGirl My boyfriend reminds me of this sometimes. If the teacher hadn't played some girl guides song maybe lol.
Barefoot for sports day is not good as it's alot longer opposed to PE class so I don't like it much either.

@happygoluckygal My daughter complains too about doing PE in bare feet . . then takes off her shoes and socks the moment she gets home 😅
@SunshineGirl That's me too when I put my pyjamas on 😂. PE in barefeet is totally different for me.

@SunshineGirl Awwwww! 💖💖💖 [c=009E4F] I LOVE BEING IN MY BARE FEET! 👣👣👣 [/c] [c=008099] I imagine if other precious kids are wearing shoes and she is barefoot maybe she is scared about getting stepped on accidentally? 😥😥😥 I mean in gymnastics every child is barefoot do no need to worry! 😝😝😝 Talk to her to see if that is her worry and my youngest Emily loves being in her bare feet just like me but she prefers others to be barefoot around her because she is scared of getting stepped on which is the only reason Emily does P.E with shoes on even though she dislikes wearing shoes! 😥😥😥 Me personally I'd be barefoot everywhere regardless of who wears shoes and I totally hate socks soooooooooooooooooo much! 😂😂😂 Socks are my surpreme worst enemy for absolute sure! 🤭🤭🤭[/c]

@SunshineGirl My shoes and socks pretty much always come off once I get in the front door, too.

@MommyLucy Oh she's fine really. This is just an example of the unedited summary I get when I ask her how her day went and it always makes me smile 😌 She was annoyed that crosscountry got cancelled - probably the only girl that was! - and then couldn't find her indoor shoes in time. She complains of cold feet, but I know she would much rather do the lesson in bare feet than miss it!
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@Morgann18 Good choice! We have a no shoe policy in our house. And if you are going to be dancing or trying out your gymnastics moves on my polished floors you might want to take off your socks too 🙂
Morgann18 · 18-21, F
@SunshineGirl Socks are definitely off, too. I prefer being barefoot around the house!
Morgann18 · 18-21, F
@SunshineGirl Actually, I tend to take both my shoes and socks off when I'm in my friends houses, too. It's just more comfortable.

@SunshineGirl [c=BF6900] YAY! 👣👣👣 [/c] [c=003BB2] Bare feet for gymnastics and dance makes your lovely home even more awesome! 🤗🤗🤗 And your home was already awesome to begin with! 💖💖💖 [/c]
