I "Got The Belt" When I Was A Teenager

I still get the belt at 16 very often, like weekly. The worst is that none my friends get it so I feel a bit alone to have so strict parents.

Erik, I've read with interest the posts you and Lawrence have made. I know and have known quite a few young people that have been punished in similar ways that are older than you two. Just speaking from my own experiences, there must be something bad in the water in your area. Here in my area of rural Florida, it only took one or two spankings/whippings to correct our behavior per issue. For instance, if we busted a curfew without a good excuse, we took the punishment and never busted curfew again.
You guys seem to repeat the same behaviors over and over, so its no wonder your parents are continuing to punish you. Let me share some advice I have given to young people here that has worked for them. Consciously make a concerted effort to alter your behavior and avoid those things that upset your parents. If you are told to do something, do it immediately and do not delay. Your parents expect you to do it now, and they may have a reason for needing it done now. Acting more promptly will please them, and it will serve to alter their opinion of you and how much punishment you deserve.
As to your potty mouth, the 10 second delay you wished for would help greatly. Studies show that people your age have less control over impulsivity than you will later in life. So make a concerted effort to delay any verbal reaction you may want to make to those situations where you feel offended, or threatened, or surprised. Just bite your tongue and control your anger. Take deep breaths. Then shock those around you with a more reasoned and mature response than they are used to. Or no response at all. It is no weakness to just walk away from others who are trying to goad you into misbehaving. If you react badly, you are letting them control you. Just give them the silent treatment. Then your parents cannot punish you for cussing.
Friend me if you like, and lets PM later.

I am a naughty boy and I know it. Why? because I do not do as I am told. Both my parents call me a little boy. My daddy calls me a very annoying naughty boy. Daddy has told me to expect to be treated as a little boy at least until 21. Daddy's often used punishment on me is to slap back of my thighs very hard. My legs are so very often very red. Sir, Mr Mike my birth certificate will state I am 18 but I do not behave like a boy of 18. I love playing with lego and cars and trucks. Daddy has told me that if I behave in the next week he will buy me a clockwork train set. Unfortunately daddy says I am too young and irresponsible for an electric train set. He is probably right. Truth is I am not allowed anything electrical or needing batteries. I am not allowed long pants of any description, winter or summer. I have sets of 'play' shorts and casual wear. They are all grey in different shades and inside leg measurements. I also have khaki shorts of similar lengths.
Mr Mike you perhaps think I am relatively Intelligent. To a degree I am. However give me a novel by PD James and a Jennings book by Anthony Buckeridge then I would always choose Jennings. I like picture books, such as winnie the pooh or jungle book. I need someone to be even stricter than daddy. teach me lessons, lots of PT and discipline me. My parents think they have found the right tutor for me. He is an ex army man, with a 10yr old son. I am going to meet him on Friday, and take some tests so he can be clear where to start teaching me. I know full well my bdtime will probably change. My father has wittered on about changing my bedtime for months.

Oh well Mike I hope I may have answered some of your questions.

I liked Jennings as well. I didn't know it was still possible to get them. Sometimes he and Darbishire were rather naughty, but mostly it was bad luck as far as I remember.
Are there other books you like? I liked Tintin.

You have answered some of the questions I had. Hopefully, this new tutor will be a good fit for you. I wish you the best.
