How are you handling it when a user you admire on SW doesn't seem much appreciative of you

Poll - Total Votes: 20
Do you politely take a step back and save yourself
Do you insist being around despite you're realising how you're triggering something unpleasant
Do you keep on hearting their posts but respect both ends boundaries
Do you keep being annoying and pushing furthermore to the point of getting cynical
Just fish and chips please and a bit of apple sauce, thank you

I have been to both edges of this, having annoying people following me and following and commenting while being ignored repetitively 🫠🤫🎑🥷

It’s an upsetting situation to be in but I just tend to be myself, be honest but positive. I would still heart (or other emoji) their posts, but maybe keep my comments for when their posts are really something I want to comment on. I’m friends with people on here that really didn’t like me at first, it just took a while.
I kinda stay in my own lane. If I click with someone that’s great, admiration and respect have room to grow. I really don’t allow for much chance of a relationship becoming one sided. If I don’t sense reciprocity within a short while, I just move on down the road.

I try to not admire anyone. Everyone only shares what they find suitable to share. I don't know anyone's full story. If someone keeps ignoring my comments on their posts or replies in a style that rubs me the wrong way, I tend to mute them to not be tempted to comment again. It doesn't mean I hate or dislike them, just that I come here to relax and have fun in a non-committing way, not to rack my brains trying to decipher what was this or that interaction about, if someone is patronizing or rolls their eyes at me. There's enough of that shit in real life as it is. 😅

I give people a chance for awhile. The algorithm is weird and we all have real lives, things slip by us.

But if I notice it's a constant with someone I admire, I will say something.

If it's someone who has made it clear they're uninterested in me, I just let them go.

I continue for a little while to make sure they didn't just overlook one or two comments, but when the pattern becomes clear, I respect their wish to not interact.

Bull, you throw mashed potatoes, because mashed potatoes won't be your friend no more. But now at least you can play with gravy

If try to be compassionate and receptive at first. If that happens for awhile and I get no response, I move on. I don't want to feel awkward or make someone else seem awkward.

I respond to all of the comments to my posts in some shape or form.

Except those whom use the platform as an excuse to toss in a random sexual statement.

In reverse, I reply my two cents to posts not expecting a reply. Cool when I do tho'.

🤷🏻
I have learned to not give it much thought . You never know what someone is going through..

Honestly, if they don't appreciate me, it’s their loss! I'm like a glitter bomb – fabulous, shiny, and impossible to ignore!

I guess some people just can't handle all this charisma! I mean, do they not realize I'm the unicorn in a field of donkeys? 🦄💅

I’ll just keep being my fabulous self while sipping my imaginary cocktail and waiting for someone to recognize the masterpiece that is ME! 🍹💁‍♀

I don`t push myself on anyone. If they like me then great, if not that`s fine too.

I weep bitter tears.

The worst is if you invested time and you say something and they ignore you because you figured out who they truly are.
Like in the real world, I distance myself.

it's like a tennis game

you serve it and see if they hit the ball back

if not - look for another player :)

I foolishly keep trying until I end up crying or dying.

Such is my destiny.
