Why the block?

I was having a very serious discussion with [redacted] and then suddenly before I could respond to one of her messages, she blocked me. I thought we were getting along. And talking about something important, no less.

Maybe she thinks I'm trying to get info on her or something? I understand the worry but I wouldn't. I've been here on SW for ages. You could ask anyone.

Considering what we were talking about I'm honestly heartbroken. That discussion was important to me.

You never know the reason why you are blocked, why someone freezes you out, and never replies to you.

This happens too in real life. Girls used to stand me up. or not want to see me again. You just cut your losses and move on.

At work this cannot happen. You have to build bridges and get on. You cannot blank someone.

Building bridges and keeping the door open is the best response in life. Give someone space and never pester.

@SinlessOnslaught 🤔to be fair it is not worth trying to weigh up people why they block for no real apparent reason . can understand your frustration at that this injustice but it will send you crackers trying to work those sort out

She is not in position to have any expectations placed on her my dude.

When people are in that state, no point in holding too tight or attempting to rationalize their behaviors.

You're not trained to deal with this.

It is very much to be expected for a suicidal person to push you away.

Even more so when they have had several traumas and have many addictions.

Attaching expectations to people who are going through extreme difficulties, and clearly unstable, only harms you.

This isn't how you help anyone.
