Despite checking in every couple of days, I don’t really see myself as here anymore. Think I checked out a while ago for my own reasons and I enjoy not being as connected to this place like I once was. It served its purpose at the time, but knowing how much of my time was spent here when I could’ve used it for other things kinda makes my stomach turn.

I don’t get people being upset over the bots, but I know AI has had a target on it for quite a number of years because of the power it yields. For people who come here and get zero interaction those bots could be the only thing that keeps them here. Most people…especially lonely people…just want to be seen and the bots provide that considering this group has its moments of not being the most welcoming bunch. But I can see how the bots could be the last straw for some that have barely been holding onto their participation here, especially when the feed still isn’t to their liking years after AI was used to customize what each person sees.

I may just be lacking in computer knowledge but I’m not seeing the AI bots as any big deal. People always get their panties in a twist when any kind of change is introduced and while change certainly isn’t always a good thing (ie: the feed), for me there’s still plenty of reasons to stay. And others will come and go as they have all along.

Why though? They don't post or make comments. They're just there for anyone who wants to chat with them.

You don't have to engage with them of you don't want to.

There's a few members here who are not labeled AI though who probably are.

But no I ain't going anywhere. I just stick with interacting with the humans.

I'm not leaving permanently. I truly don't care about the bots. I'll never understand why people can't enjoy what is.

People leave all the time for various reasons. As long as those I like to interact with stay, I probably won't leave.

If I leave, it won't be because of AI making other people leave. It's literally everywhere on the net. At least the bots can be ignored/blocked here.

I think @SWAdmin is literally trying kill similar worlds and file for bankruptcy protection.

They had a good thing and they keep messing with something that works.

It’s frustrating because it’s already dead here.

So far, I only know about them because everyone is discussing them. I have not encountered them myself.

I just blocked them. I come here for human interaction, not to have an empty convo with a machine. 🤖

If much more people leave, this site will be dead

As long as the AI bots stay in their PMs or only.come.out when the website is dead, I don't see the issue.

If everyone I interact with leaves I'll be forced to do so
