Is it normal for one week old posts to be on the home page?

Often...I think there are less posters for the Holiday weekend...catch a few off recent answers on the right

i guess. i really don’t get this new SW layout, it used to make sense i.e the most recent posts showing up first.

Sometimes it about what was most recently responded too also its your homepage so i think it does make some sense.
