Hey Nuno/Andrew this keeps happening when I want to post a reply in the last few days

It's not my internet as you can see. I tried to create a support ticket but it said I still have an open one and therefore can't create another

217 Mbps

Meanwhile here I'm crying at 77M with a copper cable that's probably seen World War 2 😬
@Elessar why not upgrade to optical fibre or just use 5G wireless internet?
Elessar · 31-35, M
@mysteryespresso Optical fiber arrive literally to the opposite side of my road. I'm less than five meters from the last cabinet 😩 hopefully they won't take a lot more to connect me..
@Elessar what about 5G internet? Use mobile phone wifi hotspot for computer
Elessar · 31-35, M
@mysteryespresso ehh those wouldn't go a lot faster than 77Mbps with the congestion of mobile traffic we have here, since I live in a major city. Which makes it even more absurd: towns with 6 people in the middle of the Apennines get fiber optics, but here I do not 😩

@mysteryespresso There's already those, plus it seems that literally the entire city minus my road and a few others got it lol. I'm that lucky

@sarabee1995 Imagine not having your network infrastructure laid out by the Romans:

@Elessar I'm not sure I could live like that. I certainly couldn't do my job from home as I often do now.

@sarabee1995 In reality unless you're doing heavy uploads/downloads you won't notice much of a difference, what makes the difference for instance in page loads is the ping/latency, which generally isn't as high (lower is better, unlike the transfer rate/Mbps) as when I've taken this test

Videos, video-conferences and all that jazz require maybe 10Mbps or less

Either way yeah it would be preferable if it was higher but I survive 😬
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
@Elessar Understood. And, yes, I have to transfer large files all the time. 😉
Elessar · 31-35, M
@sarabee1995 Then yeah 👍🏻

@Elessar Here's just now with latency...
