How to report a phony/fake person pretending to be a woman?

How do you report a "woman" that is a fake, has been pretending for years to be a woman and is posting all kinds of things, especially lies about a dead person?

my daughter passed away 1-2 months ago, and i was closing out her accounts. This "woman" contacted me and said she and my daughter, Cassandra, had been friends for years.

This woman claimed to have met my daughter in person, hugged her, and was her best friend.

well, i have been reading my daughter's diary and emails, and she NEVER met this woman in person, said she asked many times to meet, even asked for pictures, but the woman was evasive, said her "family is very well known and it is not safe for her to share her pictures".

My daughter, and many people on this social media site and others, have questioned this person's claims to be female. My daughter "played along" with her for years, mostly because she was a loner and had a Friend to talk to.

Anyway, my husband works for the US Government, and is investigating Who this woman claims to be, using Lexus-Nexus, etc.

The woman accosted me on here via email, kept lying she had met my daughter in person, hugged her, etc. Then when i did not respond other than to tell her she is a fake and i am having my husband investigate her, she BLOCKED me on this site.

So, i am not a mean or vindictive person, but when some person tries to make claims about my daughter, and my daughter had suspicions about this person, i take it personal as an attack.

and so you are aware, my daughter was scammed by a man pretending to be a woman, from 16yo to 22yo.. my daughter was a troubled child living in foster care a large part of her life.

**Laurieluvsit, says her name is Laurie Hunter.

She has shown me she is a phony/fake and catfishing (that is the right term?), and i feel she preys on people, gaining their trust and unknowingly, getting people to share their lives.

If this post is not allowed, sorry, but i am a grieving mother that had the Wound of my Daughter's death reopened, and ripped apart by this woman's claims.

You're not the first person to try pulling this scam - the least you can do is try and be original.

@HootyTheNightOwl what is this?

@Frostcloud this is called a scam, just read all the post there are in this persons account.

@HootyTheNightOwl what would the scam be about? What would they gain from this post?
@GuyWithOpinions It's not always about what you "gain" from an illness. It'd be great if we could wrap them up and put a pretty bow on them... Maybe that knowledge would allow us to predict and prevent Beverly Allitt style attacks before they started???

In this case, I'd say sympathy would be a driving factor.

It's kind of sus that this person is the "parent of a deceased member" as claimed in the post - yet they spent long enough randomly clicking around the profile to figure out how to change the "About Me".

That took me some time and advice before I knew how to do it for the first time.

Also the "daughter" only had one post and was a loner - so how many "loose ends" could there be to tie off???

Lastly... If the husband was a part of the FBI, and investigating a possible crime - wouldn't it make sense to keep your mouth shut about it until the investigation is completed and arrests have been made??? Now the suspect and half of the site knows and they could be taking action to cover their tracks and disappear.

How can anyone read this post and say "Sure, this seems perfectly genuine and plausible"???
@HootyTheNightOwl i am Cassandra's mom.. i am using her acct to wrap it, FB, instagram, whatsup, Girls Ask Guys, etc. so anyone she was friends with knows she passed away.. she died 2months ago.. okay?

My daughter did not post much publicly. she was emailing several people on here private she felt were her friends.

This Laurie person responded when i sent out messages to all the people my daughter was emailing. Laurie responded and wanted to be my friend, etc... she was also all over Girls Ask Guys and posting all kinds of things about my daughter. i believed her sincerity until she said she met my daughter in person, hugged her, and they were then closer friends.

The person that scammed my daughter when she was 16 -23 yo, was a different person, a man.. Charles Iaccarino, a registered sex offender in Florida, Pennsylvania, and other states. He pretended to be 2-3 women that all knew each other, and got a sick thrill from my daughter telling all about her abuse and horrors being in Foster Care.

While i appreciate your feedback, please do not make assumptions about my child.

AND my husband told me to post on here. He said if Laurie is a fake, he will find nothing online in background checks.. and so far, nothing has come up. So "she" is a fake, as there is no such person in Lexus-Nexus or other government databases he did research in.

thank you for being kind and understanding.

Tatiana, Cassandra's adopted mom.
