Which is worse? To be met with hate, or to be met with indifference?

To me, TRUE indifference is worse because a well-intended effort was all for naught.

I would rather be hated (i can achieve that with little effort sometimes) because with hatred at least you were acknowledged 😒

Hate
Indifference happens all the time and is harmless most of the time. Hate can be lethal.
@CrazyMusicLover Hi :). I want to ask something but dont want to ask it publicly so anyone can see coz some people might make fun of me. Would appreciate it if youll send me a message so i can replay you with my question (coz for some reason i can't message first). Thanx :).

I agree with Earthling.
When there's indifference you know somethings up.
@Matt85 Indifference to me means nothing is up. Nothing about you matters. 🤷🏻‍♂️
I'd rather be met with indifference. It's much easier to deal with.
Y'all clearly have never been hated...
@DarlingSelah Maybe I haven't earned it. 😏
It depends where they come from.

Hate from a stranger, couldn´t care less.

Indifference from a loved one, hurtful.
@Underconstruction Has a stranger ever hated you? Really HATED?
@NoThanksLeon I don´t know and I don´t care. How could they if they don´t know me ? LOL

Hmm probably indifference, at least with hate there is still some passion and feelings there.
@Magenta Exactly. The effort at least had a result.

When I dislike/hate someone I show them indifference. I don't bother with them and treat them as though they don't exist. This is hate to me. Unless they try to hurt me, only then I will react to them. But i will never go out of my way to show my hate to someone in a proactive manner. I think my indifference to them (as they can see I have a different attitude with others) says it loud and clear most of the time.
@BittersweetPotato Yeah, I get that, but you are still thinking about them. 🙂
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@NoThanksLeon What do you mean thinking about them? In an obsessive manner ? Of course not. But yea of course I will think about them one way or another, since they are in my surroundings, whether I like it or not.
@BittersweetPotato I think what you are describing is stubbornness, not indifference. 🙂

Indifference….The message is clear: You matter so little, that your presence is not worthy of acknowledging.

True.

Not sure but I don't believe war is mostly about indifference. Genocide, lynching, slavery and concentration camps either.
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
I would say hate.
