All that would do is stir up hostility and animosity to the winner each month. Just like when they would choose monthly and annual employees of the year in our department. Some people who had never said anything negative about the rest would start their nasty complaining saying certain other people deserved it more. Happened every single time.
@cherokeepatti I don’t know Patti, I’d love to see BooBoo nominated as an honorary contributor. Can’t see anyone having a problem with that. 🙂

@cherokeepatti Good point. I remember when EP had a Hot Question Of The Day. One or two people would bombard the Q&A with posts, effectively shutting everyone else out. You'd think there was a million dollar prize! They finally removed that feature, because instead of encouraging communication and friendly competition, it became childish and nasty.

@AbbeyRhode I nominated a woman who worked really hard, she took a lot of pride in her work and I had worked next to her for a few years in the summer. When she won I heard the typical remarks. And I don’t remember anyone talking bad about her before that, She was the oldest person in our department too. A couple years from retirement.
